I got into cyber – How I got into cyber was not intentional. We founded Easy Dynamics in 2006 and started as a SharePoint company. As we began to grow and the needs of our clients evolved, we adapted to meet their needs. We had an “aha” moment and realized we had been doing cyber work already. We had always been cyber defense from the very beginning and continued down that path to where we are today. 

The quote I live by – “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” – Maya Angelou. This quote really encompasses how I like to live and run my business.  

I would tell my younger self to consistently keep pushing forward. It’s important to always keep an open mind. When one door shuts another one always opens, but if you lose perspective, you’ll miss some of those open doors.  

My recommended read – I have two recommended reads. The first is Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey. The book focuses on bettering your own skills to make you more effective. Having personal growth does not just impact you personally but also professionally.  

The second is The Culture Solution: A Practical Guide to Building a Dynamics Culture by Matthew Kelly. What I love about this book is how it explains how to build your group and environment. The book focuses on how to build a culture within an organization that breeds accountability and trust. The content of both of these books is very beneficial both personally and professionally.
