The Cyber Guild was incorporated in 2019, but the passion and commitment of its founders and benefactors had been building long before that.
The idea took root with the Uniting Women in Cyber (UWIC) Event—launched in 2017 by the Center for Innovative Technology (CIT) in Virginia—as a way to support and elevate women in cyber.
Today, The Cyber Guild is a dynamic not-for-profit 501(c)(3) Public Charity with a growing community of cybersecurity professionals, allies, and partners.
UWIC remains our flagship program, now part of a broader mission to activate leaders and advance women in cybersecurity through education, mentorship, and community.
We do this by activating powerful alliances and opening doors for new types of talent and leadership in cyber. Through peer-to-peer networking, hands-on learning, and engaging events, we’re helping our members grow and thrive in the industry.
At our core, we believe in community, collaboration, and purpose. Together with our members, partners, and sponsors, we’re building a stronger cybersecurity workforce—and a safer, more resilient future.
