I feel a sense of purpose in giving back to the community. It’s also wonderful to be able to meet other mentors through virtual meetups and exchange ideas and share our mentor journeys.

As a first time mentor in this program, my favorite part so far has been building relationships and friendships. It is also very rewarding when a positive shift happens to a mentee during conversations. Recently when brainstorming career options with my mentee, I asked if sheโd be open to teaching cybersecurity at a school , a thought that had never occurred to my mentee. The mentee followed through the advice and actually found some leads towards this path. We are both very excited!
