Uniting Women In Cyber (UWIC) 2026
Annie Fixler is the director of FDD’s Center on Cyber and Technology Innovation and a senior fellow at FDD. She works on issues related to the national security implications of cyberattacks on economic targets, adversarial strategies and capabilities, and U.S. cyber resilience. She also contributes to FDD’s Center on Economic and Financial Power on offensive and defensive tools of economic coercion. Her analysis has been quoted in The Cipher Brief, NPR, The John Batchelor Show, and CyberScoop, and she has authored reports on critical infrastructure resilience, healthcare cybersecurity, and partner capacity building. Prior to joining FDD, Fixler served as director of public affairs at a strategic communications firm and as a senior research analyst at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), where she developed expertise in congressional affairs and Middle East policy. She holds a BA in international affairs from The George Washington University.
Brian Correia is the Director of Global Cyber Workforce Strategy & Engagement | GIAC expert, working on the certification source for SANS, a cybersecurity leader in training, degrees, and community resources. In his current role, Brian is focused on advancing the professionalization of the cybersecurity industry and driving the development of global workforce directives, frameworks, and work roles. Brian previously was the Managing Director of North America for (ISC)² and the Director of Business Development & Venue Planning for his current employer, the SANS Institute. As an early employee of SANS, Brian built new products such as the onsite department, press room, cleared intelligence division, key processes to host numerous events throughout the year, and was the first account manager for large corporate and government clients.
David Beabout is a cybersecurity executive with over 17 years of experience spanning cybersecurity, mergers & acquisitions, and professional services. As Counselor to the Global CISO at NTT Corporation, he advises on public-private collaboration, critical infrastructure resilience, and cybersecurity governance across emerging and established technologies.
He has held leadership roles across NTT, served on the various boards, and previously supported U.S. government cybersecurity efforts following six years of military service. David holds a Master’s in Information Systems from Johns Hopkins University and is an alumnus of IMD Business School’s Global Leadership Development Program.
An executive leadership coach, Systemic Team Coaching® practitioner, and certified artistic blacksmith, he draws on ontological coaching, somatic awareness, and contemplative practice to guide leaders through moments of transformation. As activator for this roundtable, he will facilitate generative conversations for what is possible, hold space for creative discussion, and create opportunities to build community.
