Founder, Joyce Cyber LLC | Fmr. NSA Director Cybersecurity

Rob Joyce is a 34-year veteran of the National Security Agency and one of the most respected cybersecurity leaders in the country. He served as NSA’s Director of Cybersecurity from January 2021 until his retirement in March 2024, where he led the agency’s efforts to defend U.S. national security systems and work with critical infrastructure partners. Earlier in his NSA career, he led Tailored Access Operations (TAO), the agency’s elite signals intelligence and cyber unit, and served as Deputy Director of the Information Assurance Directorate.

Beyond NSA, Joyce served as Special Assistant to the President and Cybersecurity Coordinator on the National Security Council, and briefly as Acting Homeland Security Advisor to President Trump in 2018. He also represented NSA in London as Senior Cryptologic Representative to the UK.

Since retiring from government, Joyce founded Joyce Cyber LLC, providing cybersecurity consulting services. In May 2024, OpenAI appointed him to its Safety and Security Committee.
He holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clarkson University and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
