Interactive session hosted by Elizabeth Green with LINK Consulting to improve awareness of and ability to advocate for regulatory state and self-care needs in order to manage or prevent overwhelm and prevent burnout in the fast-paced and stressful world of cybersecurity.
Outcomes:
- Basics of self-regulation, or the ability to monitor and attend to your own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as a foundation for self-care.
- Importance of attending to crucial components of self-care (such as lifestyle, family/friend support, medical and mental health) to optimize work performance.
- Various calming strategies that can be used throughout the day as a way to prevent burnout, while still meeting job performance expectations.
- How to get your self-care needs met in the work context while framing yourself up to managers and colleagues.
